Research Interests

Colloid and Surface Chemistry, structure properties and function of aqueous interfaces, control of the stability and rheology of colloidal dispersions, adsorption of simple and complex ions, molecules, surfactants, polymers at aqueous interfaces, mineral and materials processing fundamentals.


Research Experience

Supervisor or co-supervisor of 40 Ph.D. students, author or co-author of 200+ publications, Invited-Plenary Lecturer at many national and international meetings, recipient of continuous funding from ARC since 1967, ARC Special Investigator, Director ARC Special Research Centre, ICI U.K. Strategic Research Funding, Senior Fulbright Fellowship.
